Voyageurs National Park protects a vast network of interconnected lakes, forests, and islands along the U.S.–Canada border in northern Minnesota. Known for its incredible water-based recreation, the park is a paradise for boating, kayaking, fishing, and wildlife viewing. Much of the park is only accessible by water, giving visitors a true wilderness experience across the beautiful waterways that were once traveled by French-Canadian fur traders known as voyageurs.
